Scene:
Serena is 18 and still lives at home. Her father is now accepting hers and Darien's relationship. Darien is 22 and is in medical school. He is doing his residency at a local hospital.
There really is no time frame for this. Sometimes it just seems that there is someone who has a small hand in our futures and every once in a while, they realize that we may just need a little push in the right direction to keep on track with what should happen.
We both really like a good love story and think that Serena would be a great ruler. She just has a little confidence problem. That of course, is what Darien is there for. He is her brace to lean on when she needs it.
This story is intended as the first in a series covering Serena and Darien's growth into married life and then becoming queen and king. Please be patient, as it may be a while between installments.

Sailor Moon and related characters belong to others. We are merely borrowing them for a little while.

-Two figures stand at The Window of Time.
"My Queen, the time is approaching," said one figure holding a large silver key.
"I do believe you are right. The princess and her prince have come together," the silver haired Queen said.
"They will soon be taking the first steps toward what awaits," the keeper of time replied.
"Yes. We have unfinished business to attend to. But it is about to begin. Something that should have happened over a thousand years ago," the Queen said, and with that she disappeared into a white light.
The keeper of time remained at the doorway, watching the image floating in front of her.

-Meanwhile on Earth.
Darien awoke abruptly to the bright sunlight shining on his face. Yawning, he went to stretch the sleep out of his body, when he realized, that he was not alone. He looked down and brushed the gold strands of hair away from his sleeping princess. 'Damn, I have got to be the luckiest guy in the world. I have everything that I have ever wanted in life. I have the love of a beautiful, intelligent and compassionate woman. Now, she will be my wife for eternity,' Darien said to himself.
Serena was still dreaming about the night they had just spent together.

They were at a formal ball at Darien's work. They spent the evening dancing and laughing. It was like the dreams she had so many times about when they were together on the moon. Dreams that she thought would never come true, for they were in a different time and different place in their lives. It still felt good to feel just a glimpse of the future. It all felt so natural, being in his arms, dancing the whole night. As the night went on, they became so very close. She thought she would just melt when he slowly bent down to delicately kiss her. It was like no other feeling that she had ever felt. Somehow, it seemed like this kiss was so different than the others he had given her throughout their relationship. Deep down inside of her she knew that this kiss was going to change everything. The kiss was so full of love it felt like the whole world could feel the intense love between them. The party started to dwindle down and they said their goodnights and started out to the car. Unknown to her, Darien had a little too much to drink and this lowered the guard he had on those feelings deep inside he had fought so hard to control. Upon leaving, Darien stumbled slightly.
"Come on Darien, let's get you home, I think that you have had a little too much fun," she said to him, gently taking his arm and kissing him on the cheek. Instead of him saying anything, he grabbed her around the waist and gave her a passionate kiss that nearly left her breathless. "What was that for?" she asked.
"Oh, just for being so much in love with me as I am with you," Darien said.
This took her off guard and caused her to be a little shocked. She knew that he was telling the truth about his feelings for her, but she had never seen the look that he had in his eyes before. It was a look of pure love and yearning. 'Gods, I could just get lost in his eyes and never be found and it wouldn't matter one bit,' she thought. "Darien, are you feeling ok? I mean are you sober?" she asked cautiously.
"Yes, I am fine, Serena. I think that I am just a little tired and would like to get home and get out of this tuxedo. Generally, I don't mind wearing a tux, but this is a rented one and not my own. I just want to get it off and plop into bed," Darien said with a sleepy look in his stormy blue eyes.
"Ok, let's get you to your apartment and I can call a cab from there to get me home," Serena said.
The pair made their way to Darien's apartment. Finally inside, Serena helped him to his bed and was about to call for her cab, when an arm grabbed her and pulled her close for another long, oxygen draining kiss.
"I thought that you were tired?" she said in a questioning tone.
"Stay with me, Serena. I want to hold my beautiful princess in my arms all night and wake up to your face in the morning," he said, giving her his you-can't-refuse-me-I-know-you-want-to look.
"Are you sure Darien?" Serena asked, more to make sure she heard correctly. This did not sound like her let's-be-discreet-wait-until-our-wedding-night Darien. This sounded like pure desire and love.
"Serena," he said, pulling her closer to him, "I have never been so sure about anything in my life. Come with me, I have something for you." He pulled her to his bedroom.
Unsure of what was to come, she cautiously went. He sat her down on his bed and went to his closet. He opened the door and was fumbling around for something, successfully; he pulled out a small black velvet box. Walking over to Serena, he got down on one knee. "My princess and future queen, will you do me the honor of being my wife, ruler and companion for the rest of time?" Darien asked a shocked Serena. Tears began to well in her eyes and when he opened the box, they just began to flow. A long moment of silence followed. "Serena, did you hear my question?" he asked, now getting a little worried that she wouldn't accept his proposal.
Tear-streaked and red she looked at him and said one word, "Yes."
This one word made him the happiest man on the face of the earth. He hugged her and kissed her passionately. After breaking their kiss he slowly removed his jacket and she removed hers as well. He pulled her close and left a trail of hot little kisses down her neck.
"Oh Darien," was all she could say.
Slowly and methodically Darien kissed down her neck to the top of her strapless evening gown. He reached his hands around her back and began to slowly unzip her dress. Never taking his lips from hers, he eased the dress down. The dress fell to a blue and gold puddle at her feet. He stepped back to admire her. She stood before him dressed in nothing but a black lace strapless bustier and black stockings. Feeling his intense stare over her, she began to tremble. Seeing this, he pulled her close to kiss her once again.
"Serena, why are you trembling?" he asked gently.
"I'm afraid Darien," she said holding on to him for dear life.
"Serena, don't be afraid please. You know that I would never hurt you," he whispered in her ear. "If you want to stop and go no further, just say the word, and I would be content to just hold you in my arms all night," he said, now staring into her crystal blue eyes.
"No, I want to continue. I just can't believe that we are together. It just feels like the dreams that I have always had about this are finally coming true. I don't want to wake up in the morning and find that there is no Darien beside me, holding me, and there is no engagement ring on my finger," she said, her expression becoming worried now.
"Serena, this is not a dream. I am here and you are here and we are going to be married," Darien said, the intense fire in him still burning hot.
"If you say this is real then I believe you," she said, becoming more relaxed in his arms.
"Just relax and let things happen," he encouraged her.
"What should I do, I'm afraid that this is my first experience," she said looking down at her feet, feeling like she had disappointed him.
He picked up her chin so that it was just inches from his. "Just do whatever you have dreamed of. There is no right or wrong way. This is between you and I, so whatever goes on is because it's what 'We' like," he said and then kissed her until she totally relaxed and felt at ease.
Not breaking the kiss, she began to unbutton his dress shirt. She could feel the heat radiating off his chest. Her soft and gentle touch sent shivers up his spine. She broke their kiss and studied his chest. She felt the various contours of his chest, then she slowly removed his shirt. She let her hands explore his back.
'Just take it easy Darien. She's new at this, and remember she is a virgin. You have to take it at her pace. Don't scare her,' Darien said to himself. He almost melted when she kissed her way up his neck to his ears. Slowly, she took his ear lobe into her mouth and gently sucked. "My god Serena, that feels so good," he said and gently brushed her hair.
Feeling that she was becoming more comfortable. He scooped her up into his arms and sat her down on the bed. The cold sheets against her nearly naked body caused her to tense up knowing what was to come. Sensing this he sat down on the bed next to her and kissed her forehead.
"You still ok?" he asked. She nodded yes.
He took her lips in a kiss and slowly worked his way down. Until he came to a barrier. Seductively he unzipped the bustier with his mouth. This brought a little childish giggle from her. He unzipped it all the way down, then carefully undid the garters that were holding her stockings. It was now that she wasn't wearing anything else. This got his blood stirring.
"Oh, you are so beautiful, my princess," he said, looking up at her with eyes overflowing with love.
"Oh Darien," she exclaimed with tears in her eyes.
"Why are you crying, my love? Do you want to stop?" he asked, wiping a tear from her eye.
"No my love. These are tears of happiness," she said cradling his head in her hands.
She brought his head to hers and kissed him deeply. He surprised her by opening his mouth and encouraging her to open hers by stroking her lips with his tongue.
'I'm going to give her pleasure before I even think of myself,' he thought and continued to explore her mouth.
While doing this he could hear a small low groan come from her throat, telling him that she was enjoying herself. Gently, he laid her back on the bed and began to journey down to her perfect breasts. He gently cupped one and began circling the nipple with his tongue. When her nipple was fully erect, he gave the other the same attention.
Slowly he moved further down her belly, kissing the whole way down, and stopping at her belly button to kiss around it. This caused an extremely ticklish Serena to giggle. He then kept on his journey down to his goal. He nuzzled the soft golden curls of her love mound, causing her to take a deep breath as she awaited his next action. Gently, he spread the folds of her most sensitive spot. He could see her arousal and could smell her musky scent, which practically make him drool with desire.
"Oh Serena, you are so beautiful, my little rose," he said in almost a gasp. 'Now to send her to the moon on a cloud of ecstasy,' he thought. With that, he began to slowly lick her love jewel.
It was like electricity shooting up her spine. "Darien, I never knew that it could be like this," she gasped in barely a whisper.
"It will only get better Serena, I promise," he replied.
Before he could say anything more, she took his head and moved him back in the direction she wanted him. He didn't need much coaxing to return to his previous task. He could feel her honey flowing out of her. He knew she was just on the verge of release. He began to pick up the pace with his licking. Suddenly, her whole body became tense and her muscles contracted. Serena didn't know what was going on. All she could do was pant his name. Then it came, her first orgasm and she practically screamed Darien's name. After coming back down from her release, she sat up and pulled him to her. She kissed him hard and ferociously, like a starved animal that hadn't eaten in days. She tasted herself on his lips and liked it.
"Now, my prince. Let me do the same for you," she said looking toward the enormous bulge in his pants. "Just tell me what to do and I will gladly do it." A trace of nervousness showed in her voice.
"Do whatever you wish my love," he said in the most sincere tone.
She took a deep breath and stood up, bringing him with her. She unbuckled his pants and let them fall to the floor in a heap. She then pulled down his boxers so they joined his pants. He stepped out of the pile of clothes and she led him down to the bed.
"Now it is my turn to return the favor," she said with a sly smile on her face.
She began at his neck leaving a trail of kisses down to his nipples. She carefully began to suck and nibble on them one at a time.
"Oh Serena, I love that," he said, tangling his fingers in her ponytails.
Abruptly she sat up and rose to her feet. Seductively she undid her buns one at a time, and let her golden hair fall to the floor like a golden cape. She leaned over and picked up where she left off. Satisfied, she made her way down.
"Can…can…can I touch it?" she asked curiously staring at his fully erect manhood, torn between desire and uncertainty.
"Yes, it won't bite," he said, taking her hand and placing it on himself.
Just the touch of her almost sent him over the edge. Slowly, she rubbed the shaft up and down, gently tugging. This brought a deep primal groan from his throat.
        "Please, Serena…please," he panted.
She knew what he wanted as he directed her face down. She stuck her tongue out to just touch the tip and lick off the pre-cum. This caused it to jerk slightly. Slowly, she put her mouth over it and began to take it in her mouth.
'My god, her mouth is like velvet, so soft and inviting,' he thought, trying to hold himself back from taking her right then and there.
Finally, when he could barely hold himself back, he pulled Serena up to straddle him. He reached into his drawer in the nightstand and quickly put a condom on. She looked at him, confused.
"Just in case. We don't want Reenie coming before we are married now do we?" he said trying to re-assure her confidence in him.
As he positioned her for him to enter, he paused. Now seriously he looked at her.
"Serena, this is going to really hurt. If you want to stop I completely understand," he said looking at her gentle face.
"I'm not afraid," she said and with that she brought herself down on his manhood breaking her virginity.
She screamed, partially in pain and partially in the pleasure of becoming one with him. He tried to hold her, knowing that she was in pain. She sat up and said, "It will pass."
With that she began a slow rocking rhythm, derived not from experience, but from instinct. Soon, with her muscles tightening, he knew that she was ready and he wanted them to come together. He picked up the pace. Finally, he could feel the pressure building and he was about to explode when he could feel Serena's release. Her climax was so powerful that her crescent moon lit up and engulfed the entire room in light. The light seemed to penetrate to the deepest reaches of his soul, filling him with her presence just as he vaguely knew she was filled with his. When the light subsided, and his vision returned he felt his own release. As they both came down from their release, Serena collapsed onto his chest. He instinctively, put his arms around her and encountered something different.
'Feathers?' he thought. 'No, I'm just imagining things.'
Slowly, he stroked her soft wings. This sent chills up her spine, causing her to sit up. In shock at the new addition to her body she was embarrassed. She did not know where they came from.
She looked at Darien in complete shock. "I…I…I," she began.
"It doesn't matter my love, I think they are beautiful. I guess you truly are an angel," he said kissing her forehead. "Now lets get some sleep and worry about them in the morning, Serenity."
She looked up at him, realizing he had used her old, true name. Their eyes now seemed to see deep into each other.
"Oh, my prince," she sighed happily, knowing they were now joined as soul mates for all eternity.
He helped her snuggle in beside him. When he thought she was asleep, he got up, threw the condom away and tucked a rose behind her ear. "There my love, that will prove to you that this night was real," he said to himself out loud. At that he pulled her into his arms and let sleep come.

In the morning light, Darien looked down into her sleeping face as he gently stroked her cheek. Her wings had vanished once more, but the crescent moon remained on her forehead, and the rose was still behind her ear.
She stirred, her eyes opening and focusing on him with a look of deep joy and comfort. She felt so secure there beside him, and feeling his soul joined to her own.
He softly kissed her. "Sleep well?"
"Oh, yes," she sighed. As she became more awake, she suddenly glanced over her shoulders, looking for the wings. "Did all that really happen?"
"Yes. Every bit of it, my princess," he said.
"My prince," she whispered, kissing him again.
"I think that's it. I think we were meant to wait for this moment," he told her.
"You mean becoming the prince and princess again?" she asked.
"Yes. Our souls are joined now, and parts of our old selves have come back to us."
"Then this must be leading us toward the future, and Crystal Tokyo," she said.
"I think you're right..., my beloved princess and queen-to-be."
"Darien, I'm scared of it all," she whispered.
He held her tight and softly kissed her. "Don't worry. You'll be fine. You truly are a princess at heart, my love. And you'll always have me here beside you."
She kissed him in return. "Knowing that, I think I could face almost anything."
