        Long ago there was a prince of a long lost kingdom. He lived in a magnificent castle. The prince had everything, except for love. Sure his parents loved him and his subjects respected him, but he had no one to love. Of course there were always noble ladies trying to gain the prince's favor, but he was not interested, for he was searching for his soul-mate.
        Little did the prince know, she was closer than he thought. Outside of the castle was a large forest. The forest was contained in the walls of the castle grounds. Unbeknownst to the royal family, this forest was enchanted and had a secret that the prince was soon to figure out.
        And this is how our story begins...

* * * * * * * *

        "Mother I just need some time to think by myself. I am going out into the forest for a while so that I may think and clear my mind." The prince explained to his mother as he readied his horse.
        "Fine, just be careful." The Queen prompted her son, knowing full well that he would be safe in the castle's forest, because it is surrounded by the castle walls, but she was still his mother.
        "Do not worry mother, I shall be fine." The prince soothed as he began on his journey.
        Soon the prince was on his way. He made his way through the forest, heading toward the lake that he knew was in the center of it. That is where he planned to spend some quiet time.

* * * * * * * *

        Upon reaching the lake he dismounted his horse and began to set up his camp and make a fire. Nightfall was almost upon the forest, so he hurried in his preparations.
        Shortly the sun had set and the moon came out in all her beauty. The prince laid back on the shore of the lake and gazed up at the moon.
        The prince began to nod off to sleep, until the most heavenly sound permeated the stillness of the night. It was a woman, singing.
        The prince sat upright, trying to see who was singing. Even with the moon's fullness, he was only able to see to the other side of the lake. And there she was. An enchanting beauty, she seemed to glow in the moonlight. Sure that she could not see him, he quietly began his way toward the woman.
        She was truly enchanting, she had cascading gold hair and azure eyes, that just seem to draw one in.
        The prince crouched down to watch the beauty before him.

* * * * * * * *

        'Ah yes, nightfall at last. I thought that it would never come.' The woman thought as she gazed up at the moon.
        The woman kneeled down at the waters edge to look at herself.
        "How long has it been?" The woman asked her reflection, as her eyes began to tear up.
        One by one her tears fell into the lake, causing a slight ripple to go across the surface of the otherwise still lake.
        As each tear fell, they tore at the prince's heart, for he could not stand to see anyone in anguish. Feeling daring, he walked closer to her. Almost there he stepped on a twig and it broke, startling the woman.
        "Who...who are you?" The woman questioned, standing up and getting defensive. She had never seen another person in this forest since the dreadful curse had been put on her.
        Startled by her question and beauty, the prince was speechless.
        "Why were you crying?" He asked, reaching for her.
        "I asked you first" She replied, stepping back out of his reach.
        "My name is Endymion. What is yours?" He bowed.
        "Endymion, earth protector. That seems fitting for you, you have a strong aura around you. My name is Serenity." she answered with a smile.
        'Serenity, what a beautiful name' he thought with a grin.
        "Serenity, what are you doing out here?" Endymion questioned.
        "I have lived in this forest for a long time." Serenity answered.
        "How is it that you have lived here and I have never seen you? Is there anyone else here?" Endymion asked, looking around.
        "No, I am the only one here in this forest. No one has seen me because..." She trailed off, with tears forming in her eyes again.
        Endymion reach out to put a comforting hand on her arm, but she pulled away frightened.
        'My god, it's like she had never touched another person.' Endymion contemplated her reaction.
        "Many moons ago, I remember children coming here to play. They seemed so happy and carefree. Then they just stopped coming." Serenity reminisced, thinking about the one child that she felt drawn to. A young boy not more than six. He was the only one of the group that saw her.
        "How is it that I don't know of anyone mentioning seeing you here."Endymion inquired, thinking back to a memory that had always haunted him.
        "I saw the children, but I don't think that they saw me." Serenity explained.
        'I don't want to get too attached to him, for when he finds out the truth he will leave and never come back. It is just that I feel so drawn to him. I feel so complete with him standing here. The same that I felt with that young... no, I could not have been here that long.' Serenity thought sadly.
        "So why are you here?" Serenity asked, breaking the uncomfortable silence.
        "I needed to get away from... I just needed some time to think without too many things cluttering my mind." Endymion smiled at the beautiful vision before him.
        "Yes, this forest is calm and quiet. Especially in the evening." Serenity smiled as she sat on a log beside the waters edge.
        "Serenity, when you said that you saw young children here, how long ago was that?" Endymion asked, sitting beside her.
        "I don't know," was her simple answer.
        "Well, now don't think me strange or anything. When I was a little boy, I remember coming to this lake for a picnic once and I saw something that I will never forget. I saw a magical animal. It was beautiful. It had a golden mane, a gold horn and it was as white as white could be. I believe the name of it was a unicorn." Endymion conveyed to Serenity.
        Shocked Serenity took a long look at Endymion and realized that he must have been the boy from long ago. He had the same stormy blue eyes that reminded her of the sea after a storm. He had silky black hair blacker than the night sky, his bangs falling into his eyes .
        "Endymion, how long ago was that?" Serenity guardedly asked.
        "Let me see, I was about six and I am now twenty four, so that would be... Eighteen years." Endymion replied, to the now sobbing woman.
        "Serenity, now will you answer my question? Why would the children not have seen you?" Endymion asked, in almost a whisper.
        Sniffing, Serenity stood up and took a deep breath.
        "I will tell you my tale and then I must go." Serenity explained.
        Endymion nodded for her to continue.
        "Long ago, I lived in a beautiful kingdom. I had many whom I cared for and who cared for me, but I was not truly in love with anyone. There was one, a wizard, who fell deeply in love with me. He showered me with gifts of all kinds and constantly tried to woo me into loving him. I did not love him. When I told him that I did not return his feelings, he became enraged. So he cursed me on my twenty-second birthday. The curse that he put on me can only be lifted by my soul mate. That would not have been so bad, but the other part of my curse is that I am only human at night when the moon comes out, for she is my home and guardian." Serenity paused to compose herself.
        'I know that I am risking our friendship but I must be truthful with him.' Serenity thought as she took a deep breath.
        "Serenity, what are you during the day?" Endymion prompted for her to continue.
        "A..." She began, but found that she could not continue.
        "It's alright, you don't have to tell me now. Maybe some other time, for I am tired and it will be daylight soon. Go get some rest and we will talk another time." Endymion smiled with a yawn.
        "Yes, that would be fine. Good night Endymion." Serenity smiled as she stood to leave.
        "Tell me that I will see you again." Endymion asked.
        "Yes, I would like that." Serenity smiled, as she disappeared into the black forest.

* * * * * * * *

        Morning came and Endymion was still asleep. The late night with Serenity was one thing but, when he returned to his camp, he just couldn't sleep.
        Once awake, Endymion set about to making coffee and getting out the food that he had brought.
        Sipping coffee, Endymion watched the various animals in the area. The birds diving for bugs that were buzzing around the surface of the water. Fish were breaking the calm of the lake, and the wind was whispering through the trees.
        Endymion was pondering his conversation with Serenity the night before.
        'I cannot believe that someone would do such a thing to her, just because she didn't return his feelings.' Endymion thought.
        'I wonder if she knows of the unicorn that I saw when I was a child. I must ask her tonight.' Endymion thought, as he began to get into more relaxed clothing.
        Endymion was content to stay at the lake for the duration of his stay, but a part of him was urging for him to explore the surrounding areas.
        So, Endymion cleaned up his campsite and made his way into the forest, following his instincts to the direction that they pulled him.

* * * * * * * *

        Morning was not a welcome sight for Serenity. The morning was when the real world came in and Serenity was no longer human but a creature of myth and fantasy, a unicorn.
        Serenity stood up and stretched the sleep from her legs. Yawning and tossing her mane about, she made her way to the small stream that she slept by. She gazed at her reflection before taking a long drink.
        'I wonder if Endymion is up yet.' Serenity thought, as she drank, feeling a bit uneasy about the prospect of running into him in the forest.
        Shaking the thought from her mind, she made her way to the fruit trees that were down stream a bit.
        Serenity was so caught up in her own thoughts, that she didn't notice Endymion on the other side of the grove.
        Endymion was picking assorted fruits from the trees to eat, but dropped one and cursed at himself for it. He was unaware how close Serenity was.
        Serenity was presently eating away at an apple that she had speared with her horn, and pulled off with her foot. It wasn't until she heard a noise that she stopped and listened, so she could figure out the source of the noise. The first thing that came into her mind was that there were hunters in the forest. Serenity became very fearful at this thought and decided that they would only get her after a fight. She wasn't thinking clearly because if she was, she would have remembered that very few people are able to see a unicorn; mainly virgins and children.
        Steadying her nerves, Serenity dashed over to a thicket of grape vines to observe the orchard. Standing there she was partially concealed.
        Serenity could hear movement and from the sound of it, it was coming closer. Not wanting to stick around and find out what it was, Serenity took off running away from the sound.

* * * * * * * *

        Endymion was making his way through the orchard when he saw a sudden flash of white take off down a path. Startled for a moment, until it registered to him that possibly it was the unicorn he had seen as a boy or better yet, it was Serenity.
        Endymion took off down the path after it.
        'Whatever it is, it sure as hell can run.' Endymion thought as he was at a full run, following the white blur ahead of him.

* * * * * * * *

        Reaching the safety of her secluded grove, Serenity collapsed bedside the stream. Panting, she gulped down the icy water, trying to calm herself.
        Meanwhile, Endymion was following the tracks and they lead him to a hidden grove. Next to a babbling brook was a revelation of white and gold.
        Endymion watched in awe as the unicorn before him drank water. As if in a trance, the world around him seemed to stop. He could hear no birds, no wind and even the water seemed to be silenced.
        A heart wrenching sob woke him from his stupor.
        Frantically, he looked about him for the source of the sobs. It wasn't until the unicorn began to stand up that he realized, that it was crying. Rather, she was crying.
        Wanting to discover more, Endymion moved closer, but not quiet enough, for she froze and looked at him terrified.
        Before she could run off again, Endymion spoke up.
        "Wait, I won't hurt you. Please don't be afraid of me." Endymion said quietly kneeling down, so that he was not towering and intimidating her.
        The unicorn just stood with her eyes wide. She knew this was Endymion, but she was not at all prepared for him to see her yet.
        Taking a deep breath and letting it out, she relaxed a bit and figured that she needed to tell him now.
        Serenity nodded her head in acceptance of his presence. Endymion seemed to instantly be at ease and gave her a heart warming smile.
        "Do you understand me?" Endymion asked, not sure if she spoke or understood his language.
        She just nodded and figured he would need to feel comfortable with talking to her, and she wanted to be more sure of herself.
        "I thought that you only existed in a dream I had as a child. I thought when I was young and I saw you... I thought it was an illusion." Endymion smiled.
        "You and I have a lot in common. I feel that you are alone and I... feel alone. I have heard that unicorns are able to grant a wish, but the wish must be from someone who is pure in heart... Is that true?" Endymion asked, praying that she could help.
        She nodded, for him to continue with his request.
        "I wish to know love. I want to know what it feels like. I have feelings that may be love, but I do not know for sure. There is this girl... rather this woman... that part of me is drawn to. I feel like she is the other half of me. Unfortunately, I don't think that she returns my feelings. She has had much unhappiness in her life and I only wish to make her happy. I feel protective of her and when we are together, the rest of the world ceases to be." Endymion explained, to the intently listening unicorn.
        Thinking about what Endymion said, she was a bit saddened. For he loved another and she had no chance to be with him. Her heart swelled around him, but, even if she could not be happy, she wanted him to be happy.
        Gathering all of her strength, she took a deep, cleansing breath.
        "Endymion, what you are feeling is love. I do not need to grant you a wish. You already know it." Serenity/unicorn explained to a stunned Endymion.
        "How... how do you know me? I never told you my name." Endymion inquired, paling.
        "Look into my eyes Endymion. Look closely." Serenity coached.
        "Seren..." Endymion began but fainted and fell back onto the soft moss.

* * * * * * * *

        Several hours later, Endymion felt something soft rubbing against his cheek.
        Slowly opening his eyes, he saw what he thought he would find. The unicorn was nuzzling his cheek affectionately.
        Absent-mindedly, Endymion reach up and stroked her cheek.
        "Serenity, is it really you?" Endymion whispered.
        "Yes, Endymion. It is me." Serenity cooed, as Endymion rubbed down under her head.
        "Amazing" Endymion purred, as he traced her horn.
        "Are you alright?" Serenity asked, looking him over.
        "Yes, fine. How... why... why didn't you tell me?" Endymion asked, sitting up.
        Serenity arranged her folded legs comfortably and sat in front of him.
        "I was afraid." She answered.
        "Afraid, of me?" Endymion inquired.
        "No, I was afraid that when you learned what I become, that you would not want anything to do with me." Serenity explained, trying not to cry.
        "Why would that make a difference? You are still you." Endymion comforted, reaching toward her, but remembering the last time he tried to touch her.
        "Doesn't it? Knowing that we could never have a rela ..." Serenity trailed off, crying.
        The statement that she didn't finish hit Endymion like a brick. Serenity didn't need to finish it, for he knew already.
        'My god, she feels the same about me as I do her. This is great.' Endymion thought, and was about to say so when Serenity began to speak again.
        "Well, that doesn't matter now. I am glad for you Endymion, for you truly know what love is, and she must be very special. You have a good and just heart." Serenity sniffed as she stood up.
        Letting all this information sink in, Endymion got a wonderful idea.
        Getting to his feet, he walked over to where Serenity was standing by the stream.
        "Serenity, you are right, she is very special. She is kind, loving, caring, and a beautiful person. But, I'm sure that you already knew that." Endymion smiled as he put his hand on her back.
        "What are you talking about?" Serenity sniffed, not attempting to look at him.
        "You. That is what, or rather who I am talking about." Endymion explained.
        "You're kidding. This cannot be, Endymion. You know of the curse, and I cannot go out of this forest during the day because of it. Besides, you just met me." Serenity reasoned.
        "That makes no difference to me. I feel like I have been looking for someone like you my entire life. It all began that time when I saw you as a child." Endymion whispered, as he stroked her mane, producing little moans from Serenity's throat.
        "This could never be Endymion." Serenity whimpered.
        "Why? Just give it a chance... please." Endymion purred into her ear.
        Thinking a moment, Serenity shifted from foot to foot.
        "Alright, I will give it a try. But you must promise me this... If things don't work out, you must leave this forest and never return; for it would tear my heart apart seeing you and not being able to be with you. Endymion, I don't know how, but I think I love you." Serenity quietly said, as tears ran down her cheeks.
        "Please Serenity, don't cry. I will abide by your wishes, but let us try and enjoy the time we have." Endymion whispered, as he brushed at the tears on her face.
        "Fine then, I shall see you tonight at your camp. As soon as the moon comes out, I will be there." Serenity smiled, as Endymion walked down the path toward the lake.
        'I have a feeling that tonight is going to be magical.' Serenity thought to herself with a smile.

* * * * * * * *

        Serenity decided to go to Endymion's camp just before sunset. She was so excited about being with him again, that she could not wait. She tried to purge the thought of their relationship not working from her mind.
        "Tonight we will just be a man and a woman... not human and unicorn." Serenity spoke aloud to whispering trees.
        'I just have this overwhelming feeling that he and I are destined. Please whatever guardians are listening, hear me... if this cannot be, just give us tonight.' Serenity prayed silently, as she walked..

* * * * * * * *

        The sight that greeted Serenity, made her blush very red.
        Endymion decided to take a dip in the lake to bathe before Serenity was due to come. He figured that he would be done before she came, but he was mistaken.
        Serenity was enamored by the way the colors of the setting sun glistened on Endymion's muscular back, as he swam through the water.
        'Beautiful' was all Serenity could think of how to describe him.
        Completely entranced by Endymion's nakedness, Serenity found herself being drawn to the lake.
        She slowly made her way to the waters edge and began to walk in.
        Hearing the arrival of another person, Endymion turned around to face his possible attacker, and he gasped at the sight.
        Serenity was only thinking of getting closer to Endymion, she did not pay any heed to the sun's position. As she walked on further into the water, slowly the outward appearance of the unicorn melted away, and revealed a very wet Serenity.
        "Serenity," Endymion cooed as she glided toward him.
        "Endymion, I have missed you." Serenity smiled.
        "My love, your clothes are all wet." Endymion pointed out, admiring how Serenity's dress clung to her curves.
        "So they are." Serenity replied as she closed her eyes and concentrated. Instantly, a blinding white light consumed Serenity and her wet garments were gone.
        "Amazing," Endymion whispered after the light subsided and he could now see Serenity's naked body.
        "You are not so bad yourself, my prince." Serenity cooed, as she trailed a finger down his neck, causing him to shiver.
        "How did you...?" He began to question her.
        "Now, now, did you think that I would not notice the crest on your tent?" Serenity chided.
        "Somehow I think the description of a minx suits you instead of unicorn." Endymion whispered as her hands became more daring and traveled down to his chest.
        "And what shall I use to describe you?" Serenity cooed as she bent forward and kissed his neck.
        "A man completely in love with you." Endymion smiled, as he bent down to capture her lips.
        Serenity's mind was floating, his kiss was full of passion and emotion. Endymion urged Serenity's mouth open and he caressed her tongue with his.
        This wonderful sensation caused Serenity to make little moaning noises in her throat.
        Finally breaking apart for much needed air, Serenity practically collapsed into Endymion's arms.
        "Wow, that was amazing." Serenity panted.
        "There is much more to come, my dear," Endymion purred into Serenity's ear.
        "Well, in that case, I feel that we should return to shore and get to more comfortable surroundings." Serenity cooed, nibbling on Endymion's neck.
        The pair swam toward the shore and padded up to Endymion's tent.
        Inside, one would hardly know it was a tent. There were candles and a comfortable looking bed.
        "You brought all of this?" Serenity asked, astonished.
        "My dear, you are not the only one to possess hidden talents." Endymion winked at her, as he handed her a towel to dry off some.
        "I guess that you are a man of many talents." Serenity smiled.
        "Oh my dear, you have not even begun to see them." Endymion replied huskily, as he took the wet towel from Serenity's hands and ran a finger down her side.
        Serenity shivered at his touch.
        'Silk is rough compared to the softness of her skin,' Endymion thought, as he traced the curve of Serenity's hip.
        Endymion, began to place kisses down her neck and her chest.
        Serenity stiffened, for she had never been intimate with a man and was afraid.
        Noticing her reaction to this, Endymion looked up at her.
        "Serenity, don't be afraid of me. I will not harm you." Endymion comforted.
        "I know, but I have never..." Serenity began.
        "Well, neither have I. Just do what comes naturally. I love you Serenity and that is all that matters." Endymion explained, embracing her.
        Endymion held her and cooed comforting words of love into her ear, as he rubbed her back. Slowly, he could feel her relax and respond to him.
        Gently, he picked Serenity up and placed her on the bed. He sat beside her and admired the vision before him.
        Serenity looked up at him and traced his jaw-line.
        'Beautiful,' was the only thought that came to mind as Serenity traced all the contours of Endymion's face.
        Feeling daring, Serenity gently pulled Endymion near.
        Not needing any more invitation than that, Endymion captured her lips in a slow, passionate kiss. Knowing this would be the first for both of them, he was going to take it easy and make it pleasurable for her. He would take it easy even if it killed him.
        Breaking apart for much needed air, Endymion trailed hot kisses down Serenity's neck, stopping to nibble at the base.
        Serenity's breathing sped up and she twined her hands in Endymion's hair, encouraging him on.
        Endymion slowly kissed a trail to one of Serenity's hard nipples. He ran his tongue around the hardened bud and caressed the other with his thumb.
        This produced little gasps and moans from Serenity.
        Endymion could see Serenity's arousal, from the red blush that covered her skin and her rapid breathing.
        Ever so slowly, Endymion kissed his way down her abdomen and nuzzled the golden curls atop her womanhood.
        "Oh Endymion" Serenity cooed, as Endymion kissed the insides of her thighs.
        Endymion gently kissed the opening to her womanhood. Her honey was already coming out of her.
        Endymion parted her nether lips and began to lick at her swollen jewel.
        Feeling this new sensation, Serenity's body stiffened and then relaxed as the waves of pleasure washed over her.
        Sensing Serenity relax at his ministrations, Endymion continued, determined to bring her to a glorious release.
        Endymion did not have to wait very long. Serenity's muscles stiffened and she gripped tightly to Endymion's hair.
        "Oh, gods," Serenity gasped, before the room was bathed in silver light and she soared into climax.
        "My love, you are truly beautiful." Endymion whispered beside Serenity.
        "That was amazing, Endymion. I love you" Serenity cooed, before Endymion captured her lips again.
        Sensing his need Serenity, tried to encourage Endymion where she needed him.
        Getting carried away Endymion almost plunged into her awaiting womanhood, but reality smacked him on the head.
        "Serenity, this may hurt. I have heard that it can be painful for a woman's first time." Endymion explained. "If you wish to stop now, I will understand."
        "No... I wish to be one with the man that I will ever love. Please Endymion, make us one." Serenity panted.
        "As you wish. But if it hurts too much we will stop. Just say the word." Endymion whispered.
        "Please..." Serenity panted. Before she could take another breath, Endymion entered her womanhood and took her virginity.
        A low soul-searing cry escaped Serenity's mouth, but she did not allow Endymion to stop. She encouraged his pace and soon the pain dulled and extreme pleasure overcame her.
        Faster and faster the two moved. Endymion relished the way that the two of them seemed to be made for each other. Feeling his own release fast approaching, he thrust into her harder and quicker.
        The physical pleasure that Serenity was experiencing was nothing compared to the happiness that her soul was feeling.
        Serenity was fully aware that Endymion was getting close to release. She could feel him somehow growing within her. Then she peaked again and she felt Endymion's manhood spasm within her.
        The two lovers collapsed on the bed, spent from their exertions, and fell fast asleep.

* * * * * * * *

        Somewhere out beyond the boundaries of the Earth, the gods were watching the couple and smiled. They were pleased that the young princess, now Queen, had found her prince and king.
        All would be right in the world once again, for the evil wizard that caused the curse had been banished from their solar system and would never be allowed to return.

* * * * * * * *

        The sun rose and illuminated the couple's bodies.
        Endymion was the first to wake and smiled at the beauty beside him. 'My love you are even lovelier in the daylight than you are in the moonlight.' Endymion thought as he took in Serenity's beauty.
        "Thank you my love for noticing." Serenity smiled as she opened her eyes.
        "But, how..." Endymion began.
        "We are one now my love. In every way. The curse has been broken and now I must reclaim my birthright and kingdom." Serenity explained.
        "Serenity, I have responsibilities here. Where is your kingdom?" Endymion questioned, seeing the saddened look in her eyes.
        "That is the beauty of it, it is where ever I wish it to be. My kingdom is that of dreams and fantasies." Serenity explained.
        "So that means where you want it to be, it will exist? Even here on Earth?" Endymion asked, to make sure that he understood what Serenity was telling him.
        "Yes, so I can manage my kingdom from your kingdom. That is if you wish to continue this." Serenity stated quietly, not sure of the outcome. Yes she was happy with Endymion and grateful that the curse was lifted, but she would not tie him to her if he did not wish it.
        "Serenity, it would make me the happiest man alive to be able to be with you forever." Endymion smiled, as he tipped Serenity's chin up to look into her eyes.
        "That too would make me happy." Serenity smiled, near tears.
        "That only leaves one problem," Endymion mumbled more to himself.
        "And that would be?" Serenity questioned.
        "How do I explain this to my mother and father. I went into the forest to think and I come home with the love of my life, who just happens to be Queen of a kingdom of dreams." Endymion smiled.
        "Just like that and don't forget, I'll be there to help too." Serenity explained as she looked out the door of the tent to gaze at the first sunrise she had seen as a human in a long time.
        'All will be fine, my love. I can feel the gods are smiling down upon us.' Serenity thought with a smile.
        "Are they now? I hope they didn't see everything." Endymion chided, with a raised eyebrow.
        "Oh, I'm sure that they saw, but they know our feelings and apparently approve. I know they are smiling down on us because I can feel them." Serenity explained as she hugged Endymion.

        Well.... They most definitely lived happily ever after.

Note: I know this is completely different than what I normally write, and really doesn't have a lot to do with Sailor Moon. It was just bouncing around in my head and I had to get it out. So that is why this story is only going to be available on our web site and via email.

Thank you.
