> Part 4 - Near Future <

Usagi walked home after school. For once, there was no study session at the temple with the other girls, even though that was a major reason she was surviving in high school.
Mamoru had arranged a romantic weekend, including two nights at a new hotel that had just opened. She could only guess how he'd managed that. Perhaps some connection through his new job.
Lately, though, they'd been going through a bit of a rough patch. Mamoru seemed less certain now that he would accept the scholarship he had been offered to Harvard. Usagi was torn, not wanting to be separated from him for so long, but also not wanting him to give it up just for her. She hoped this wouldn't come up again and spoil their weekend.
As her thoughts returned to the weekend, she was certain Mamoru was up to something. She'd tried repeatedly to get it out of him, but to no avail. An idea was beginning to form in the back of her mind. When he put his mind to it, Mamoru was simply the most romantic man on earth, but this weekend was a bit much even for him. Clearly, he was planning something special. One possibility came to mind, but she didn't want to seriously admit it, not wanting to face the disappointment in case she was wrong.
She arrived home to find her parents gone, just as expected. Her mother was now an active co-conspirator, although Usagi was beginning to suspect her father had an idea of what was going on. She changed out of her school uniform and found the bag she had packed the night before and hidden in the back of her closet.
"So, you're leaving for the hotel?" Luna asked.
       "Yes, that's right." Usagi answered.
"But what if the Senshi are needed?"
"Then some monster will wish it had never existed," she said. "If anyone interrupts my weekend with Mamo-chan, it's going to be ugly."
Luna simply shook her head. She'd been through discussions like this in two lifetimes, and Usagi was just as determined as Serenity had been. Luna had long given up protesting about Usagi's behavior with Mamoru, knowing that they truly were meant to be together, and that there was nothing she could do about it.
"Bye, Luna," Usagi called as she left the room and skipped down the stairs.

Mamoru was waiting in the lobby when he saw Usagi arrive. Her eyes immediately found him and she broke into a run, hurling herself into his arms.
"Mamo-chan," she sighed. "I'm soooo happy to see you."
"It hasn't been that long, my love," he said, holding her tight in his embrace.
She looked up at him, her large blue eyes open wide. "Pleeeease tell me what you have planned for the weekend, Mamo-chan."
He smiled down at her, struggling to maintain his self-discipline. "You'll find out soon enough, Usako."
Before she could protest, he leaned down and kissed her lips. Soon, he was leading her to the elevator, and up to their room.
       "Oh, it's beautiful!" she exclaimed.
"Not as beautiful as you are," he said softly.
The room was actually a small suite. The living room and bedroom both opened onto a balcony overlooking the water. A jacuzzi tub filled one corner of the living room. The bedroom was a comfortable size, containing a queen-size bed.
"Decisions, decisions," she said, looking around. "The tub, or the bed. I don't know where to start."
He moved up behind her and kissed her cheek. "Let's take a soak in the tub. We have an early dinner reservation."
She turned around and kissed him deeply, feeling his hands sliding down her skirt as their tongues danced passionately. Stepping back, she pulled off his shirt, then let him remove hers. Anticipation was already building within her. As far as she was concerned, they could spend their entire weekend right there, only pausing occasionally to order room-service. With their last pieces of clothing discarded, she carefully tied her hair up on top of her head, then climbed into the tub.
Mamoru settled into the water beside her, taking her in his arms and enjoying the feel of her body against his own. Though they had been a couple for nearly a year and a half, he never lost the thrill of holding her in his arms, and doubted he ever would.
"Can you tell me now what you have planned?" she asked.
"Not yet," he answered quietly, kissing the side of her neck.
       "You're mean," she sighed.
       "But you love me."
"Yes, I do. Very, very much," she said. "But I doubt Endymion ever kept Serenity in suspense like this."
"Probably not," he agreed. "But suspense keeps you on your toes."
"It keeps me something, Mamo-chan," she said, reaching down and rubbing a hand over his erect penis. "But if you want suspense, two can play that game." She moved away from him.
"Are you sure that's what you want?" he asked.
He moved after her, pulling her into his arms, then sliding one hand between her legs while kissing her passionately. She moaned as he slipped two fingers up through her nether lips.
       "Mamo-chan," she sighed.
"But... you did say you wanted to wait..."
"Ooooh, I'll show you waiting!" she said.
She ran her hands down across his chest and abdomen, taking holding of his penis and caressing it firmly.
       "Usako," he gasped.
"I think you like this," she said, as she slipped one hand under his sac, stroking her fingers over the sensitive spot just behind it.
He drew a sharp breath and stiffened as the sensation washed through him.
"Oh, gods," he whispered, as she continued to caress him.
She pulled her hands away before he reached the edge, leaning forward and kissing him.
"Still not going to tell me?" she asked.
"No. Not yet," he said, kissing her in return. "But I think you're going to like it."

Later, after they had climbed out of the tub and dried themselves off, Mamoru was dressed in a tuxedo, while Usagi was wearing a silver-white strapless gown. While she was putting on her necklace and earrings, Mamoru retrieved something from his bag.
"Usako, it's time for what I've been planning," he said.
"Now? I thought we were going down to dinner."
"In a few minutes," he said.
He dropped to a knee, and her eyes suddenly misted as she realized what he was doing. He held an open jewelry box in front of her, containing a ring.
"Usako, I love you more than anything. You've helped me discover how to truly live, and love, for probably the first time since my parents died. You are everything to me, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Usako, will you do me the honor of being my wife?"
"Mamo-chan! Yes! Yes, of course I will!" she said, tears of joy streaming down her face as she threw her arms around him and kissed him.
As she sat back, he took her left hand and slipped the ring on her finger. She looked down at it, as she wiped the tears from her eyes.
"Oh, Mamo-chan. I'm so happy," she whispered.
"So am I, my love. You've made me the happiest man on earth."
He leaned forward and kissed her once more.
"Now I know we can't get married until you're eighteen, my love, but I just couldn't wait any longer to ask you," he said.
"Thank you, Mamo-chan. Thank you so much," she said, her voice thick with emotion. "I love you so much."
"And I love you, Usako," he replied.
Standing up, he drew her to her feet and took her in his strong embrace, kissing her deeply.
"Now the fantasy is becoming reality," she said, looking at her ring again.
He looked at her blankly for a moment, then remembered the party he had taken her to, when her disguise pen had added an engagement ring to her outfit and accessories. "Yes. And I told you then that someday I'd be giving you such a ring."
She nodded. "And I said then that I would gladly accept it."
Seeing fresh tears forming in her eyes, he carefully wiped them away, then kissed her once more. They stood there for several more minutes, just holding each other and softly kissing.
"Let's go down for dinner, my love," he said. "I know I'm going to enjoy walking into the room with my fiancee on my arm."
"Oh, yes. And I'm going to enjoy it too," she sighed.

After dinner, they went dancing in the ball room. She was positively aglow with happiness in the arms of the man she loved, and could sense an equal joy in him.
As they danced, having lost all track of time, he suddenly caught sight of the clock.
"Oops. It's after nine. We need to be going," he said.
       "Going where, Mamo-chan?" she asked.
"You'll see," he said, leading her out of the room.
Coming out of the hotel along the waterfront, they walked down to the hotel pier, where a small sight-seeing ship was moored. Perhaps two dozen other guests were already on board or boarding.
"This is part of the package," he said, as the ship pulled away from the pier.
Behind them, Tokyo glowed with its man-made brilliance of many different colors, staining the sky with its glare and blotting out the stars. Ahead, hanging low over the peninsula of land that sat between them and the Pacific Ocean, was the full moon, its celestial brilliance yielding nothing to the lights of man that dared challenge it.
As the moon's glow washed over its princess, Mamoru found her growing more beautiful and radiant, and noticing very faintly the crescent moon on her forehead. He kissed her softly.
"Such a beautiful night," he whispered to her. "And I'm engaged to an even more beautiful woman."
She smiled at him. "Well, the man I'm engaged to is pretty wonderful, himself."
He slipped his arm around her waist and held her gently. She rested her head against his shoulder, sighing happily. He could sense her happiness, reflecting on the joy in his own heart.
The breeze was beginning to pick up, making the cool night temperatures more noticeable. Mamoru quickly slipped off his tuxedo jacket and placed it over her shoulders.
"Can't have you catching cold, my love," he said.
She pulled the jacket around her, enjoying the feel of his warmth, and leaned back into his embrace.
The ship returned to the pier, and they made their way inside.
"Ready to go back upstairs?" he asked.
"Do you really need to ask, Mamo-chan?"
He pressed the button for the elevator, then took her in his arms and kissed her. The soft "ping" of the elevator arriving interrupted them.
Returning to their suite, Usagi entered the bedroom. "Oh, Mamo-chan!" she gasped.
Roses decorated both night tables and the credenza, interspersed with candles giving the room a soft glow. He switched off the living room lights as he entered the bedroom behind her.
"You really went to some effort for all this," she said. "I am impressed."
"You're worth every bit of it, Usako, and much, much more," he said.
She slipped off his jacket, then turned and embraced him tightly. As he held her in his arms, he unfastened her dress and began sliding it down. She stepped out of her dress, then removed her shoes, before turning her attention to removing his tie and his shirt. The rest of their clothes quickly followed, in between deep, hungry, passionate kisses.
       "Oh, Mamo-chan," she sighed.
"Usako," he whispered, unfastening her long, golden hair.
They quickly pulled down the bedspread, and slid under the covers, their mouths finding each other almost immediately as tongues probed deeply. Moving down, he kissed the base of her neck, then both breasts. Sighing with delight, she hugged him tighter, feeling herself on fire with longing for the man she loved. He kissed her lips once more, then rolled off to the side.
"The ginzuishou's over there with my necklace," she said.
"No, my love. No magic tonight," he said. "At least not that type of magic." He produced a condom from the night table drawer and slipped it on.
"Yes, we make plenty of magic of our own, Mamo-chan," she sighed.
He kissed her deeply. "I love you so much, Usako."
"Mamo-chan... Oh, yes!" she gasped as she felt his fully erect member slide deep into her, filling her up so beautifully. "Oh gods, that's soooo good!"
"Yes, Usako," he agreed, feeling himself fully enveloped within the loving embrace of her womanhood.
She ran her hands up along his strong back as he softly kissed her. Feeling him thrusting upward, she raised her hips to meet him, bringing a passionate moan from both of them.
He kissed her again as they fell into a strong, fast rhythm, their bodies moving together as one. Seeing the love and passion glowing in her eyes, he felt it within himself, overjoyed that this beautiful young woman had agreed to be his wife.
She was already on fire with pleasure, completely swept away by the intense physical attraction that went along with their love. Their every movement was sending powerful waves of raw sexual gratification through her body.
"Oh, yes!... Oh, Mamo-chan... Yes... Oh, gods... So good," she gasped.
He clung to her tightly as their pace grew still faster. Her inner muscles were clamping down tightly on his member with each thrust, squeezing him in just the right place to greatly heighten his pleasure. Their passion was swelling rapidly toward crescendo.
Feeling her muscles squeeze around his throbbing mass as it thrust within her, she gasped in delight, wanting never to let him go. She kissed his lips, then his cheek. "Mamo-chan!"
"Oh, Usako!" he groaned, as their conjoined bodies again moved together.
"Oh, gods!" she cried, feeling herself approaching the brink.
Though a part of him wanted to extend her pleasure, all he could do now was simply let their passion run its course as they thrust together again and again.
She pressed her hands into him tightly as his manhood throbbed deep within her.
"Oh, yes!... Oh, gods!... Yes!... Yes!... MAMO-CHAAAANNNN!!" she cried, as he sent her soaring into orgasm.
"USAAAAKOOOOO!" he gasped, feeling his own muscles spasm sharply in climax.
They clung to each other as their orgasms ran their course, then fell limp. She kissed him softly.
"Oh, Mamo-chan. That was sooo wonderful," she sighed.
"Usako, my love, I couldn't agree more," he said quietly.
After a few minutes, he carefully slipped himself out of her and disposed of his condom. Moving back beside her, he was thrilled to have her warm body snuggling in comfortably next to him. He brushed a strand of hair out of her face, her crescent moon now plainly visible, and kissed her lips.
"Have I told you how much I love you, my princess?" he asked.
"Yes, my prince. But you know I love hearing it again," she said, kissing him in return.
"I love you so much that words can hardly express it. When I'm with you, I feel truly alive and complete. When we're apart, it's like a piece of me is missing. Just being with you makes everything seem brighter and happier, my love."
"I know just what you mean, Mamo-chan. All the problems of life seem to fade away when we're together, and I know you and I can face anything," she said.
"We're made for each other, Usako. Forever."
"Yes. Forever," she agreed, kissing his cheek then settling her head on his shoulder.
He took a slow, deep breath, breathing in her soft, delicate scent as he held her naked form against his own. With a silent prayer, he thanked the fates for blessing him with the love of this beautiful young woman. As she snuggled closer to the warmth of his body, he pulled the blanket up a bit higher. His princess had accepted his proposal of marriage. Truly, he was the happiest man in all the world.

NOTE: I wanted to focus more on the romance for this story, resulting in a somewhat shorter love-making scene. Special thanks once again to my partner, Hopeless Romantic, both for input that helped me with this story, and for saying yes when I asked that question.

Always remember, good gentles, that a yarnspinner works from and within existing legends and stories. The characters of "Sailor Moon" belong to others. In spinning my yarns, I do not seek to infringe on their rights of ownership, but merely to join with other fans to spread the legend still further. "The moonlight carries a message of love." Enjoy.
