> Chapter 55 - Moving Forward <

Geoff picked up the phone and dialed the number of his Tokyo apartment. There was a brief delay, and then he could hear it ringing. 'Great,' he thought. 'They've got the phone lines back in service.' After several rings, his answering machine picked up. He punched in his access code.
The first message played back. "Geoff, it's Mom. I've been trying to get ahold of you ever since I saw the reports on the earthquake. Call me at home as soon as you get in, and don't be worrying about how late it is here."
Geoff mentally kicked himself. He should have called her as soon as they returned from the fight with the Dark Kingdom.
The answering machine beeped, and played a second message. "Hello... Mr. Kelley?" It was a man's voice, speaking English with just a trace of an Oxford accent. "This is Takeshi Aino, Minako's father." Geoff's eye's widened. "I'm trying to reach my daughter. There is no answer at our home, so I thought I'd try your number... on a hunch, you might say. Please ask Minako to call me as soon as she can. Her mother and I were both concerned for her after seeing the reports of the earthquake. Oh, yes. I'd better leave the number of our hotel, in case she doesn't have it readily available." Geoff hurriedly wrote down the number. "This is in Tahiti, so the hotel operator will probably answer in French. Thank you for relaying the message."
Minako walked in as Geoff hung up the phone. "Any messages?"
He nodded. "Two. One from my mother, who's afraid I've been done in by the earthquake... and the other from your father."
        "Daddy?" Minako asked in surprise.
"Yes," Geoff replied. "He said he tried calling your house, but got no answer, so he called my place... 'on a hunch' he said."
        "On a hunch?"
        Geoff nodded, and shrugged.
"I wonder what he meant by that?" she asked rhetorically.
He glanced at the clock. "Well... there's a two hour time difference between Hawaii and New Zealand, if I remember the table correctly... And Tahiti is probably on the same time as New Zealand... And there's a three hour difference between New Zealand and Tokyo..."
"But it's still really early for us to be calling from Tokyo," Minako observed.
"I know," Geoff said, picking up the phone. "I'll call my mother first. She won't care about that as long as she hears from me."
"I hate to think what Atana's phone bill will look like after this," Minako said, shaking her head as he punched in the number.
"I'll pay him back," Geoff said, listening as the call went through.
"Hello. Kelleys'," a female voice said.
"Hello. I'm looking for sweet, old Mrs. Ada Kelley," Geoff said, with a mischievous grin.
"Geoff!" his mother exclaimed. "I'm so happy to hear your voice!... But if you give me that 'old' line once more, young man, you'll be wishing that earthquake really had killed you!"
Geoff laughed. "Oh, you know that would never happen, Mom. You always said we're a tough lot."
"That we are," she agreed. "But are you OK? Was the earthquake bad?"
"I'm fine, Mom. And actually, I don't know for sure how bad it was," he said. "I'm taking a week or so off, and I'm currently in Hawaii... uhm, staying with a friend I met in Tokyo."
"Hawaii? Geoff Kelley, you never tell your mother anything," she muttered. "You've been letting me worry, all for nothing."
He sighed, glancing up at Minako. "Well... ah... there's something else, uhm, I guess I should also tell you..."
Minako looked at Geoff with an expression of concern.
"Let me guess," his mother said with a chuckle. "You've run off and gotten yourself married?"
Geoff shook his head slightly. "Uhm, well... not yet."
There was a period of dead silence. "Not... yet?"
"But I have met simply the most wonderful young woman," he said, looking up to see Minako smiling at him. "And I can say with absolute certainty that she is your future daughter-in-law."
There was another, shorter period of silence. "And she thinks you're wonderful too?"
        "Of course, Mom," Geoff said.
"Well, just you let me talk to her. I'll straighten the poor girl out."
"Mom," Geoff laughed. "She doesn't need any straightening out. She's perfect the way she is."
Minako smiled happily. "So are you," she whispered.
"Well, I'm very happy for you," Ada Kelley said. "Does this young woman have a name?"
"Of course she does. Minako Aino," he said, deliberately westernizing the order of names for his mother.
"Are you bringing her here to visit?"
Geoff sighed and frowned. "I'm not sure when we can manage that, Mom. She's a student, too. And of course, a trip to Auckland is not the easiest thing, you know."
"Nor the cheapest," his mother added.
"No argument there, Mom," he said.
"Well... if you do get a chance to bring her for a visit, I'd love to see you," she said. "And just make good and sure you let me know when you're getting married... even if you do decide to just run off and elope."
"Uhm... I'm sure we will, Mom," Geoff said. "But, ah, I really should go. I'm sure I'm running up my friend's phone bill."
"Oh! Geoff Kelley! You should have reversed the charges, you rascal. Your friend's going to think I raised you out in the barn!"
"But you did," Geoff said. "That's where we spent most of the time."
"Now you know good and well what I meant, young man! And all that time in the barn didn't seem to do you too much good. At least I get some respect from the sheep."
Geoff laughed again. "What was the difference? You fed them and sheared them. Same as me."
"Ohhhh! That poor girl of yours has her work cut out for her with you," his mother declared. She paused for a breath. "But I am glad you're sounding so happy."
"I'm very happy, Mom," he said. "I'll call you later."
"Good bye. I love you, Geoff, and I am happy for you."
"Thanks, Mom. I love you," he said. "Bye." He hung up the phone with a smile.
"Your mother sounds like quite a spirited woman," Minako said with a grin.
Geoff nodded. "She grew up on a large sheep farm. Everyone expected her older brother to take it over, but she ran it while he was away at university. My grandfather says she greatly increased their output in that time, so he let her take the business. My uncle was only too happy about that, since it allowed him to go to law school. Now he looks over all the contractual side of the business for her while Mom runs the farm, which is now four times the size it was when my grandfather owned it."
"What about your father?" Minako asked. "You've never said much about him."
"Dad died about ten years ago," Geoff said. "He had a bad heart. His doctor had warned him to take it easy, but he insisted on helping Mom and the farmhands with the work."
"I'm sorry," Minako said softly, giving him a hug.
He nodded. "I love you, my beautiful Venus."
"I love you... so very much," she said.
"You should probably call your father," he said.
She nodded, picking up the phone.
The was a delay of several seconds, then the line began to ring.
"Hello. Grand Polynesia Hotel," the operator announced in French.
"Ah, Hello," Minako said, her French much, much weaker than her English. "Uhm... Mr. Takeshi Aino, please. Number, ah, 214."
"One moment, please." There was a click, and the line rang again.
        "Hello?" Takeshi answered in French.
        "Daddy," Minako said, in Japanese.
"Minako," Takeshi exclaimed, also switching to Japanese. "I'm glad to hear from you, dear. I see your friend got my message to you."
"Uhm, yes. He did," Minako said.
        "I take it you're alright?"
"Oh yes, Daddy. I'm just fine," she said.
"That's good. But isn't it a bit early there?" Takeshi asked. "I'm very happy to hear from you, but you didn't have to call me before dawn, you know."
"Well... actually... I'm not in Tokyo," Minako said quietly.
        "You're not?"
        "Uhm, no," she said.
"And just where are you?" he asked.
        "I'm in Hawaii."
"Hawaii?" The surprise was clear in his voice. "Just what are you doing there?"
"Well... I'm here with some friends... We decided to take a week or so," she said.
"You just left the country? And while school is still in session?" he asked, a stern tone creeping into his voice.
"Remember England, Daddy? You took me out of school several times," she said.
"Well, that was... different," he said, his tone conceding that it really wasn't. He paused for a moment. "Wait a moment... Is your friend, Kelley-san, there with you?"
        "Yes. He is," she answered.
"I see," he said quietly, his voice cool.
"Daddy... Do you remember telling me about when you and Mom started going together?" she asked.
        Takeshi hesitated again. "Yes."
"Well... I think I've found my special someone," she said.
There was silence. "Are you sure?" he finally asked.
        "Absolutely," she said without hesitation.
"And you're sure he feels the same way, dear?" he asked. "I mean, really sure?"
"Of course, Daddy," she said. "Not the slightest doubt."
"I see," Takeshi said softly. "I take it things have really progressed between you two... I mean, I assume it was more than volleyball that had you so breathless the last time we spoke."
She blushed, glancing over at Geoff. "Uhm... yes. I... ah, I guess you could say that."
        He fell silent again.
"You said you started seeing Mom when she was about my age..."
        "Yes, I know," he said.
"And I understand you and she went away for over a week during her vacation..."
"I am well aware of that, Minako," he said sternly.
"Sorry, Daddy," she said softly, hoping she hadn't overplayed her hand.
"So... just how sure are you about how he feels?" Takeshi asked, the tone of his voice indicating he wasn't anxious to hear the answer.
"Uhm, well... we're so very comfortable together... and he... uhm, he's been letting me stay with him," Minako stammered. "It just feels so perfect to be with him... like I found a part of myself I didn't know was missing."
Geoff placed a hand gently on her shoulder. "I love you," he mouthed silently.
"And Geoff feels just the same, Daddy," she added. "But there's more..."
        "More?" her father asked.
"Yes." She took a breath. "We're engaged, Daddy."
"What?! He asked you to marry him?"
"Uhm, no. Actually, I asked him," she said. "And he said yes."
        "Getting engaged? At only fourteen?"
"Daddy, please!" Minako declared. "I thought you said I could talk to you about anything."
"Yes. I did say that," he admitted.
"Well, Geoff and I love each other, more than anything... and I wanted you to know about it," she said.
Takeshi paused again. "Are you pregnant?"
"No, Daddy," she said. "Not yet."
        "Not yet?" he asked.
"Well... Geoff and I have talked about it, Daddy," she said. "We both want children, but just not right now."
"So... you want to get married," Takeshi said.
"Of course we do. I mean, we both know we have to wait before we can actually do that, but for now, we each want to let everyone know that we really, truly love each other and that this is our intent," Minako said.
He sighed. "I'll have to give this some real thought, dear," he said softly.
"Please do think about it, Daddy," she said. "And think what it would have been like if Grandfather had tried to keep you and Mom apart."
Geoff leaned closer. "Careful, honey," he cautioned softly.
"I'll think about it," Takeshi said softly. "And we'll talk about it more when we all get home... Let us know when you're coming over."
Minako glanced at the phone in confusion, suspecting she'd somehow heard him wrong. "Call you when we're coming over?"
"I thought you wanted to continue staying with him," Takeshi said. "Or was I wrong about that?"
"No! Not at all, Daddy. Thank you!" Minako exclaimed happily.
"It's a trial basis," Takeshi said sternly. "I'll give you and Kelley-san the same terms your grandfather gave me and your mother. You have sixty days to show me that you're both as mature about it as you say you are. That means grades stay up, you stay in touch with us, you don't get into trouble, you don't let him take you to wild parties... and you don't get pregnant. If you fail to meet any of these conditions, you will move home at once and you can forget the engagement until you're old enough to do it on your own. Understood?"
"Yes, Daddy. Certainly. Thank you so much! You are the greatest!" she said. "But what happens after the sixty days is up?"
Just then, Minako faintly heard her mother's voice in the background.
"We'll discuss that another time. Right now, I have to do some arranging of my own, dear," Takeshi said, his voice barely a whisper. "I'm glad to hear you're alright, dear," he said, in a normal tone of voice, obviously for his wife's benefit. "But you certainly didn't have to call us so early. You get some sleep, and we'll talk again soon. I love you."
"I love you, Daddy. And thank you so much," Minako said. "Bye."
"Bye, dear," Takeshi said, hanging up the phone.
Geoff stared at her in amazement. "Did you manage to do what I think you just did?"
She nodded, a brilliant smile on her face and lighting up her eyes. "Daddy's said I can stay with you," she exclaimed, throwing her arms around him and kissing him. "It's soooo wonderful."
"What was the sixty days bit?"
She sat back. "He's given us a sixty day trial period. He said that's what my grandfather gave him with Mom."
Geoff nodded in understanding. "I have to keep his little girl out of trouble."
"I have to keep my grades up, you can't take me to any wild parties, we can't get into trouble, and I can't get pregnant," she said. "He didn't say what would happen at the end of the sixty days because Mom walked in, and he was going to have to work this out with her."
"Is your mother going to go along with this?" Geoff asked.
"I don't think Daddy would have made that offer if he didn't think he could manage it," Minako said.
He kissed her lips. "You are just the most amazing woman... Mrs. Kelley. And I love you so much."
"I love you, you wonderful man," she sighed.
He slid a finger along the side of her neck. "But right now, I think you need to put your necklace back on, and we need to hope and pray our play time yesterday hasn't led to anything," he said. "We can't afford to have anything like that happen now."
        She nodded. "Definitely not."

Mamoru and Usagi walked along the beach, holding hands. As they approached Atana's cave, she stopped.
"Did you feel that?" she asked.
"Magic," Mamoru said, nodding. "Something's going on... But I thought Atana and Rei were still up at the house."
She glanced up at Mamoru. "Kara," she said softly.
He nodded, and they hurried into the cave, transforming as they went.
Kara was kneeling at the center of Atana's circle, waving her hands and struggling to maintain a shield spell around a brightly glowing object on the floor.
Usagi, in the form of Princess Serenity, quickly produced her communicator. "Rei! We need Atana down in the cave, right away!" She then let the ginzuishou glow, carefully adding to Kara's strength.
The object seemed to glow more brightly in response. Suddenly, an intense flare filled the room, shattering Kara's shield spell. As the girl screamed in fright, the ginzuishou pulsed, shielding the three of them from the energy release. The energy swirled around them, then rushed out of the cave.
        "Kara?!" Rei cried frantically.
        "Mommy!" Kara called.
        "We're back here," Mamoru called.
"What was that?" Usagi asked, her crystal still glowing.
Rei stepped forward, and Kara ran to her, throwing herself into her arms. Kara trembled and sobbed with fright.
Atana approached the circle warily. "I'm not sure... It did feel vaguely familiar," he said. "What happened?"
"I'm not sure," Mamoru said, reverting to normal. "We were walking and suddenly sensed magic. We found Kara in the circle, apparently trying to contain whatever it was."
Rei looked down at the daughter of her past self, wiping the girl's tears and kissing her cheek. "What happened, honey?"
Kara still sobbed softly. "Mommy," she gasped.
"It's OK, honey," Rei said softly and comfortingly. "Your daddy's not mad. We just want to know what happened."
Kara took a breath, still trembling slightly. "There was a shiny light on the floor," she said quietly. "But then it started getting bigger."
"You tried to cover it with a shield spell?" Rei asked.
Kara nodded. "But it kept growing."
"That was good thinking, honey," Atana said. He crouched down, finding a small box laying open on the floor. It was made of polished wood, but with slight traces of charring around the opening, where the hinged top had been forced open. Ornate symbols could be seen engraved in the top.
        "What is it?" Mamoru asked.
"I'm not sure," Atana said. "It's not one of mine." He looked back over at Kara. "Kara, were you casting a spell before the light appeared on the floor?"
The girl pressed her head against Rei's chest, making no response.
        "Honey?" Rei asked.
Finally, Kara glanced back at her father and nodded.
"What were you casting?" Atana asked.
Kara looked away, more tears forming in her eyes.
"Please, honey," Atana said. "I'm not angry. I just need to know what you were doing, so I can figure out where that light came from."
Kara sighed and took a breath. "I... I was trying... to summon a dragon."
        "A dragon?" Rei asked, surprised.
"Geoff was telling me a story about dragons," Kara said. "And I saw a spell in one of Daddy's books for calling dragons... I just wanted to see one..." Her voice trailed off.
Atana crouched next to his daughter and kissed her. "I'm pretty sure there aren't any dragons anymore, honey," he said. "But this is another reason why I don't want you doing magic alone. It wasn't your fault, but your spell somehow attracted that thing. Casting spells isn't a game."
Kara nodded, her lip trembling. "I'm sorry, Daddy. I didn't mean any harm."
"I know that," he said softly, kissing her again. "And most of all, your Mommy and I are glad you're safe."
"That's right," Rei agreed, embracing the girl.
Atana stood up again, and turned the box over slowly in his hands. "I'm not sure what this is... But I think I've got a pretty good idea how it got here."
Usagi stepped forward, taking Mamoru's arm. "What happened?"
"I suspect the Dark Kingdom looted many smaller magic artifacts from Earth after their invasion a thousand years ago," Atana explained. "Since they were taken back to the Dark Kingdom, they would have survived the final battle."
Usagi nodded. "But now that the Dark Kingdom itself has been destroyed?"
"The ones that still survive are just drifting around between dimensions," Atana said. "But their magic tends to draw them back to Earth, since this is where they were originally from. Kara's spell managed, quite by accident, to pull this one back here."
"So we could encounter other occurrences like this?" Mamoru asked.
        "It's certainly possible," Atana agreed.
"But what was this one?" Usagi asked.
"I'm still not sure," Atana said. "I'll have to do more research on this."
Usagi let her crystal glow. "I can sense residual energy, but it doesn't seem to be threatening... Quite the opposite actually."
"I did feel a tingle of magic as it came rushing out of the cave," Rei said. "But I didn't really get any sense of a threat either."
Atana nodded. "I'll look into this some more, and let you know what I find."
        "Thank you," Usagi said.

Back in their bungalow, Mamoru gently lifted Usagi's sun dress over her head. As always, the sight of her bare young breasts took his breath away. Setting the dress aside, he took her in his arms.
"How are you feeling, Usako?" he asked, kissing her cheek.
"I'm alright," she said. "I didn't exert myself enough to really tire myself out."
He nodded, then took hold of her panties and began sliding them down, quickly having his beautiful future bride completely naked. As she stepped out of the panties, he swept his hand softly over the gentle, slight swell of her abdomen. "I love you, Usako," he said.
"I love you, Mamo-chan," she whispered.
She grasped his shorts and slid them down, then turned her attention to lifting his shirt, which he finished pulling off.
"Is this more to your liking?" he asked.
"Almost," she said with a grin. She pulled down his boxers, and gently ran her hand along his swelling member. "Now this is what I like."
"As long as my princess is happy."
She pressed herself tightly to him. "You make me happy, my prince," she sighed.
"That's my job, Usako," he said, enfolding her in his arms.
Their lips came together for a soft, lingering kiss. He slid a hand down across her back, caressing her soft, bare flesh.
They separated and Usagi lay down on the bed. Mamoru crouched next to her, gently caressing her abdomen. He looked up into her face and smiled. "You are so beautiful," he whispered.
"And you are the most handsome man," she said softly, gazing at him lovingly.
He leaned down and kissed her abdomen. "Still think you can handle a lifetime of this?" he asked.
She nodded. "Most definitely," she said. "There is absolutely nothing I want more than to be your wife, and to make a family with you, Mamo-chan."
He kissed her abdomen again, then gazed down at it. A grin spread across his face. "Do you know how lucky you are to have such a wonderful mommy, little one?" he whispered to her lower abdomen.
She giggled. "And an even more wonderful daddy," she added.
He smiled up at her once more. His hand caressed her abdomen, sliding down through the thin layer of golden down covering her pubic mound. As she sighed in response, he slid his hand along her thigh, while his lips again brushed the flesh of her abdomen.
She groaned as his hand softly and tenderly continued down along her leg. His lips moved lower, as he planted soft kisses on her flesh. He stopped just above the top of her pubic hair, his tongue brushing her skin. "Mamo-chan," she sighed, a soft tremor running through her.
He planted one more soft kiss on her lower abdomen, then sat up. Looking over her naked form, he produced a rose in his hand. "For the most beautiful woman," he said softly, setting it between her breasts.
She felt the magic of his rose now spreading through her. Her nipples swelled and she was filled with a powerful arousal. As she watched, he produced another rose in his hand. He slowly removed a petal, placing it very carefully on her pubic mound. She gasped as more magic flowed into her. He placed another petal on her mound, and then still another. She struggled for breath, watching as he spread several petals across her abdomen, then placed one on each nipple. Awash with energy and a carnal need, she cried out, her body trembling.
With a smile, he leaned down and kissed her lips. "I love you, my princess," he whispered.
"I love you," she sighed breathlessly.
He kissed her once more, then moved down. His finger gently slipped the rose petal off her nipple, before he seized the nipple in his lips and suckled it passionately.
        "Oh, yes!" she gasped.
He sighed with delight, then swept his tongue gently around her aureole and over her nipple. After just a moment, he took her back in his mouth, pressing the tip between his lips. Her body trembled beneath him as he continued to gently suck. His hand lightly cupped her other breast, his fingers softly caressing her flesh. The rose petal remained undisturbed atop the aroused, swollen tip of her nipple.
She groaned, running her hands through his hair as he gave such incredible attentions to her breasts. He always gave such care to giving her pleasure, and she considered herself absolutely blessed to enjoy the love of such a wonderful man. His tongue swept again over her nipple, while his fingers and the magic of the rose petal flooded the other with incredible sensations of pleasure. Gradually, she became aware of his lips moving along the slope of her breast, toward her breast bone. His tongue softly brushed her flesh as he went. She sighed and trembled as he slowly moved upward. He kissed the base of her neck, his lips nipping at her flesh. She groaned. He moved a little higher, still nibbling at her neck as he went. A shiver ran through her. "Oh, Mamo-chan!"
He moved higher along her neck, kissing her as he went. Reaching her jaw, he followed it back to her ear, gently taking her earlobe in his lips and sucking it. He then slid up a bit more, his tongue tracing the contours of her ear. As she gasped softly, he sucked her earlobe once more, then moved around to press his lips to hers, letting his tongue slide into her mouth, while his hand removed the rose from between her breasts.
She pulled him to her tightly as passion boiled within her and their tongues danced. The warmth of his naked body against her own was still one of the most wonderful sensations she had ever known, whether they were just snuggling together, or they were about to conjoin themselves again as the fates had intended. She moaned into the kiss. Feelings of purest love flow between them, only further fueling both his desire and her own. As the fire within her grew still more intense, she opened her legs to him. He immediately lowered himself into position, and she could feel his hugely swollen tip rubbing against her nether lips. "Oh, yes," she gasped, as their mouths separated.
"Usako," he sighed, gazing lovingly down into her face, and seeing her crescent moon shining brightly.
He kissed her again, then edged forward. She could feel his warm, smooth tip begin to spread her open. He rocked back slightly, then slipped forward again, going just a bit deeper. She groaned, her inner muscles tightening in an effort to pull him in deeper, where she so desperately needed him. He pulled back again, however, and she groaned with passionate need. "Mamo-chan! Please!"
He braced himself, then thrust forward powerfully, burying his full length deep inside her.
"Oh, yes!" she cried in purest ecstasy as his throbbing mass filled her up so completely. She wrapped her legs around his thighs and her arms around his back, while her inner muscles held him tightly. "Oh, yes," she sighed again.
He pulled back once more, then plunged forward, quickly falling into a steady, driving pace, melding his body with hers. As they moved, he brushed his lips over hers. He savored the exquisite feel of her body beneath him and made one with his own. "Usako... I love you," he sighed as he moved.
"I love you... so much," she gasped, flooded with overwhelming carnal joy as his manhood plunged into her like an incredible piston of warm, hard flesh that was crafted exclusively for her.
Still moving steadily, he showered soft kisses over her lips and cheeks. Through their link, he could feel her joy and pleasure, matching his own. He loved her beyond all measure, and wanted nothing more than to be with her for the rest of his life.
She cried out in ecstasy, soaring to orgasm. Clinging to him tightly, she hungered for still more, needing to remain joined with this man she loved so entirely, was going to marry, and with whom she was having a child. Already, he was moving again, his swollen penis thrusting so magnificently within her.
He again kissed his exceedingly beautiful young future bride, flushed with an overwhelming happiness. Energy flowed between them, sweeping them both on. With an effort of will, he maintained his steady pace, continuing to slide his shaft in and out, in and out. Her muscles pulled at him with each thrust, the pressure of her snug channel on his manhood driving him crazy with a carnal joy.
Gasping for breath, she pulled on him with her arms and legs. Her nerves were on fire with every motion, sweeping her toward another peak. Moving largely on reflex, she pushed up through her hips to meet him. Just then, he pulled back and stopped, before thrusting forward with a still more powerful motion. His shaft plunged deep and hard into her, sending her over the edge once more.
He continued his slower motions, completing each with a deep, powerful thrust. Both through her cries and their link, he could tell that she was thoroughly enjoying every bit of it, which, as much as he needed release himself, was his most important concern. He kissed her again, then thrust into her once more.
"Oh, gods!" she cried, now able to do nothing but respond to his beautiful, deep thrusts. "Oh, yes!" White hot ecstasy blazed within her with each motion. Her fingers pressed into the strong muscles of his back, as she gasped wordlessly.
He groaned as his entire body stiffened in spasm and his shaft swelled within her.
"OOOHHHH, YES!!" she cried, as her entire body was consumed in exquisite climax.
"Usako," he gasped, plunging himself forward once more, driving his wildly spasming, swollen shaft deep into her now tightly constricted womanhood, before finally erupting in his own climax, pouring himself inside her.
She sighed in utter bliss, wrapping him in her arms as she enjoyed now familiar but indescribably wonderful sensation of his warmth spreading within her. Their link remained very deep as she held him, letting feelings of purest love and joy flow between them. She sighed again, knowing that this was exactly what the fates had intended for her.
He kissed her cheek, sensing her love and joy, and feeling just as happy himself. Once more, he was amazed at how blessed he was to enjoy the love of this young woman who was now his family. He kissed her again. "I love you so much," he sighed.
"I love you, Mamo-chan," she whispered.
"You are such an incredible woman... Mrs. Chiba," he said, deliberately saying the title in English.
She smiled, her joy only growing stronger. "I'm all yours, you wonderful, handsome, sexy man... and there's nothing I want more than to be your wife."
He pressed his lips to hers. "You make me so happy."
"That's part of a wife's job, Mr. Chiba," she said with a grin and soft giggle.
He nodded, kissing her again. "Yes... and a husband's too," he said. "And I know I couldn't hope for a more wonderful and loving wife, Usako."
She smiled happily. "I'm so glad, Mamo-chan... And you're everything I could ever wish for."
He gently eased himself out of her, and they snuggled together.
"I love knowing that I'm your family now," she said, resting her head on his shoulder.
"Yes," he agreed. "You and our baby."
Her smile grew still brighter as she gazed at his face. Despite her youth, she no longer had even the slightest misgiving about carrying their child. Being his wife and mother of their child was absolutely what she most wanted. "I love you so much," she whispered.
"I love you," he said softly.

NOTE: To the best of my knowledge, no given name was ever provided for Minako's father, so I have invented one for this story. More to come.

Hopeless Romantic and I now have a message group to notify our readers when we post new stories/chapters. Those who are interested can sign up at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/strands_of_moonlight/ .

Always remember, good gentles, that a yarnspinner works from and within existing legends and stories. The characters of "Sailor Moon" belong to others. In spinning my yarns, I do not seek to infringe on their rights of ownership, but merely to join with other fans to spread the legend still further. "The moonlight carries a message of love." Enjoy.
